Applicant must hold principles which coincide with the USIAHT Statement of Faith. USIAHT Vision: To End Human Trafficking in the United States. Mission: To engage in the fight to end human trafficking in the United States through prevention, rescue of victims, combating demand, and providing safe refuge for the restoration of survivors. Values: A nonprofit, faith-based organization anointed by God to fight against human trafficking in America with truth and integrity, showing the love of Jesus Christ to all involved. USIAHT STATEMENT OF FAITH: We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in the Holy Trinity in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (“For the Lord your God is God of Gods and Lord of Lords, the great God, mighty and awesome…” Deuteronomy 10:17). We believe in the deity and lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and to His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that this salvation is received only through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works or any other religion. (“For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16). We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works. (See John 14:15-31). We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they who are saved unto the resurrection of life and they who are lost unto the resurrection of the damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of USIAHT’s faith, practice, policy and discipline, our Board of Directors is USIAHT’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application to the Company. PORNOGRAPHY AND SEX TRAFFICKING: At the U.S. Institute Against Human Trafficking, we see sex trafficking as a supply answer to a demand problem. The reality is that the problem lies in the demand to purchase a human being for sex. Because the demand exists, the traffickers are filling an economic equation, and filling the supply with victims. Our hypersexualized society is creating an environment where many people see others as objects to be used for their own sexual gratification. Pornography is at the heart of the problem, creating a tsunami of problems in our culture that experts are only recently beginning to be able to qualify and quantify. LEGALIZATION OF PROSTITUTION: We strongly oppose the legalization of prostitution and serve those wanting to exit the industry. We have learned from other countries, like Germany, that the legalization of prostitution results in an increase in human trafficking.
