Man charged with sex trafficking of a child

TULSA, Okla. — An Oklahoma man made an appearance in federal court Friday for allegedly soliciting a woman to molest her 11-year-old child in exchange for help with living expenses. “This is another case which destroys the innocence of a child and touches the heart of every justice official involved in the investigation”, Tulsa Chief of Police Wendell Franklin said in a news release. “May the work performed by our agency and our federal partners—the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and U.S. Attorney’s Office—be feared by any criminal looking to exploit our innocent children.”

According to court documents, FBI and OKCPD investigators determined that Rolando Cifuentes-Lopez of Oklahoma City, OK. owned the trailer where the two minors lived and threatened to evict their family if they did not comply with requests for sex. If found guilty of child sex trafficking, each defendant faces a mandatory punishment of at least ten years and up to life in prison.

Oklahoma Police Chief Arrested for Soliciting 16-year-old Girl for Oral Sex

A 16-year-old girl said she considered 40-year-old Police Chief Stacy Burger to be a “father figure” and “role model” until he asked her for oral favors in exchange for cash. When she declined, he asked her if one of her underage friends would be interested in pleasuring him orally but the girl also denied that request, calling him “sick.” Burger is married and a father of four later sent her a text pleading “Please, don’t rat me out.”
