Sign Pledge
As a church parishoner, signing a Stomp Out the Demand Pledge means that you’re making a formal promise to stop participating in any activities which drive the demand for sex trafficked victims, as well as educating your sphere of influence about human trafficking, and discouraging them from sex buying activities.
This, of course, transcends just life in/at your local church. It means that as a Christ-follower, you carry this pledge into your work, your school, your play, and your neighborhoods. God calls us to be a voice for the voiceless and to seek righteousness and justice. This pledge is a promise that you are making to yourself, to your community, and to the Lord.
This is summarized by the statement that you are declaring yourself–whether you live, work, and play–as a TraffickingFree Zone. It means that you aim to be vigilant, to help protect others, and to help reduce the demand of sexual exploitation of others.

Human sex trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and occurs when an adult or child is recruited, harbored, obtained, or exported through force, fraud or coercion for the purposes of sexual exploitation; and human sex trafficking is growing throughout the United States, thriving in cities across geographic and socio-demographic variability, and nationally, the criminal enterprise of human trafficking is second only to the illegal drug trade, in terms of the speed of its growth and being among the most lucrative.
Human sex trafficking significantly threatens the safety and well-being of the child victims, some as young as infants, and vulnerable adults being purchased, as well as the families of sex buyers, legitimate businesses and our communities; and there is a growing body of evidence that targeting sex buyers is a pragmatic, effective way to reduce demand within the commercial sex industry.
I PLEDGE that: I am educated on sex trafficking in the United States, and I will refrain from sex buying activities of any nature, as the purchase of sexual services both exploits victims and drives the demand higher for sex trafficked victims.
And I ask my friends, family, and colleagues to join me in taking a stand against human sex trafficking by issuing a personal pledge, committing to become educated on sex trafficking in the United States and to refrain from sex buying activities of any nature.
