Today we are happy to announce that nationally recognized activist and advocate, educator, and survivor of child sex trafficking Oree Freeman has been appointed to the Board of Directors.
Oree Freeman is a survivor of child sex trafficking and an advocate who transforms the lives of youth involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems by sharing her own experience and the countless youth she has served. She is serving her second term on the CSEC (commercially sexually exploited children) State Advisory Board of California.
USIAHT Chairman Kevin Malone said, “Oree has dedicated her life and career to be a voice and a fighter for all victims of sex trafficking, and exploited children. She has trained over 15,000 law enforcement officers and professionals from other child-serving sectors, and has changed the lives of countless exploited and at-risk youth.”
Oree Freeman stated, “I’m honored to have this opportunity with the USIAHT to increase my platform in order to help children. I’m hopeful that I can assist in identifying gaps in services for trafficked children, eliminate some of the red tape related to human trafficking, and raise my voice so buyers know that children aren’t for sale.”
Please welcome the newest addition to the USIAHT team, Oree Freeman.
