Colorado Springs, Colorado– A man was arrested and is being charged with attempted human trafficking of a minor in Colorado Springs. In 2019, the National Human Trafficking Hotline reported 176 cases of trafficking the state of Colorado.

Rocky Ford, Colorado– A twenty-six-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of soliciting for child prostitution and attempted sexual exploitation of a child by the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Metro Vice Unit. The CSPD MVU began investigating the suspect in April by setting up an online profile of who he thought he was soliciting sexual intercourse and sexually explicit photographs from a 16-year-old female. In actuality, it was an undercover CSPD officer.
“This is the first time my office has used financial crime to indict alleged traffickers, which has the elegance of sparing the trafficked women from testifying,” McCann said. “By following the money, we are alleging a case of financial crimes that led from one Denver home, to massage parlors around Denver, to bank accounts in China.”
undercover investigators in Eads identified 27-year-old Luis Hernandez of Fountain, CO. Hernandez was arrested and taken to the Bent County Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond. He faces charges of Human trafficking – Sexual Servitude, Felony Eluding, and Reckless Driving.
The Battlement to Bells Anti-Trafficking Task Force (BATT) goal is: “We seek to end human trafficking from Battlement Mesa to the Maroon Bells (and beyond).”
A 35-year-old Crested Butte man was arrested last Saturday, September 14 during a sting operation focused on child prostitution conducted in Garfield County involving federal, state and local law enforcement personnel.
Pvt. David Guerra, 19, was arrested by military police at Fort Carson, where he is stationed, and is charged with soliciting for child prostitution, patronizing a prostituted child, inducement of child prostitution, and keeping a place of child prostitution, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
A sting operation in Garfield County involving federal, state and local law enforcement resulted in nine arrests on suspicion of soliciting child prostitution.
Raymond Fredericks of Aurora, Co. was arrested in 2018 on allegations that he sexually assaulted two girls, ages 14 and 15. “After being released from treatment, he reverted to the problem that got him into trouble the first time, he immediately got back online and engaged in the same behaviors.”
A U.S. Army recruiter, Sgt. 1st Class Kenneth Hardcastle living in the Denver area was arrested on suspicion of felony internet exploitation of a child and felony internet luring. Hardcastle, 31, told a teenager he met on a dating website that he wanted oral sex from a 10-year-old.
